Arne Eggen: “Kun changed the game with his pace”
“They were more skillful with the ball at their feet”
The manager of Rosenborg, Nils Arne Eggen, commented during his post-game press conference that “the start of the match was poor. We felt the fact that our opponent was playing with five strikers and my team didn’t play well in the opening fifteen minutes. We improved after the chance that we sent off the post, although it’s true that we created few chances.”
Regarding their opponent, Atlético de Madrid, he assured that “they were more skillful with the ball and with their chances. I think that Atlético were much better, but this happened in Madrid and we’ll see what happens in our stadium. We still have many chances to earn a spot in the next round; the team has two matches at home and anything can happen there.”
To finish, Eggen wanted to praise Argentine striker Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüero and commented that “we played more even in the second half until Kun came on. He changed the game with his pace. Right now Kun is at the same level as Messi.”
