THE GOALKEEPER PASSED A MEDICAL IN THE FREMAP MAJADAHONDA CLINIC

Aranzubia and is new Atletico player

Daniel Aranzubia Aguado (Logroño, La Rioja, 18.9.1979) has passed a medical and has signed for a season.

Aranzubia passed a medical this morning at the FREMAP Clinic Majadahonda then signed at the Vicente Calderon as a new Atletico player for a season.

The medical examination took place at 10 in the morning accompanied by Dr. Jose Maria Villalon, head of medical services of the club. Dr. Jose Maria Abad, chief of trauma FREMAP Clinic led the medical examination. The player underwent a blood test, a trauma study, an x-ray, an electrocardiogram and a study of internal medicine. Jose Luis Perez Caminero, sporting director, is pleased with the signing of Aranzubia because "he is an experienced goalkeeper, he increases competitiveness in the team to face a tough season with three very demanding competitions ahead. The new keeper comes from Deportivo, the club where he has played the last five seasons. The keeper has a proven track record in the First Division, with over 300 appearances for Athletic Bilbao and Deportivo. With the national team he has won the FIFA U-20’s world cup in Nigeria and the silver medal at the Sydney Olympics. He also debuted in the senior side in 2004 and was also present in the European Championship that year in Portugal.
