Antoine Griezmann received his special plaque after defending our kit for the 200th time
Griezmann is making history for our club and played his 200th match for our club against Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabéu.
In the four years he's played for Atlético de Madrid, Antoine Griezmann has given the Atlético fanbase numerous delights. In total, he's scored 108 goals and defended our red and white kit for the 200th time on 8 April, 2018 in the Santiago Bernabéu against Real Madrid. After the match, he was given a special plaque to commemorate his 200 matches for our club. He's the seventh player in the squad to reach 200 matches for our club.
Griezmann signed for our club in the summer of 2014 and made his official debut for our club in the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabéu. A few days later, he assisted Mario Mandzukic in the goal that gave us the trophy. His first goal for our club came in the UEFA Champions League. He scored in the group stage match against Olympiacos. He's the third player reach 100+ goals in the 21st century for our club and the first Atlético player to score in three consecutive league matches in the Santiago Bernabéu.
