ANSALDI SAYS THE CHANGING ROOM IS READY FOR THE DERBY

“Many people are bothered by the way we play but that makes us more excited”

The defender appeared at a press conference after Tuesday's morning workout, with the next league game in mind.

The versatile Argentinian Cristian Ansaldi spoke out about the Club’s next league match against Real Madrid. “This is a game that has been in the works for some time. Since we finished our last match, the team has been thinking about Real Madrid”, he said.

Following results from the last game against Real Madrid in the Super Cup, the player is aware about what is being said about the team, but they are happy with the work they do. “We'll continue playing our game. Many people are bothered by the way we play, but that makes us more excited. If something is bothering them, we will keeping playing the same way”.

There are three points for this one game and we know it will be different from the Super Cup

For the changing room, the last victory won just two weeks ago at the Calderón against Carlo Ancelotti’s men is not a precedent against which to measure this next meeting. “We must be aware that the Super Cup was the first game after the pre-season and not all players were at 100%. With the pre-season done and now on our third match, we know that we're playing an important game. There are three points for this one game and we know it will be different from the Super Cup”, he said.

This season, the motto is still to keep their minds on daily work and Ansaldi is clear that their goals are based on the day-to day. “When you just start the season, you are not as fit as you are after 15 or 20 rounds. That's why it’s very important to achieve the most points. Once we finish the first round of play, we'll see how we're positioned. That's why it's very important not to lose points now”, the player concluded.
