Atlético de Madrid and Os Belenenses have reached an agreement for the cancellation of the loan of André Moreira to the Portuguese club, therefore the Portuguese keeper will become a new player of the first team. The young 20-year-old goalkeeper has played the last two years with Moreirense and União Madeira and has been an international in the lower categories of the Portuguese national team.
While his final incorporation to our first team was being settled, Moreira trained with his new teammates on Wednesday in the first of the two sessions of the day. He is now available for Simeone to call, if needed, for the first LaLiga Santander match against Alavés.
Atlético’s new goalkeeper believes that "It is a great opportunity to demonstrate my work and be able to prove myself in a major championship. It’s an opportunity that I will try to make the most of."
Moreira notes that "Atlético is a very big club. I will try to make the most of this opportunity. I have to give my all in all the trainings."
For his part, José Luis Pérez Caminero said about the Atlético’s new signing, "This is a young keeper, with great prospects, who comes to reinforce our goal and increase competition. He stands out for his big size and his reflexes between the sticks."
