Aiming for a fifth consecutive LaLiga victory!
This Saturday, from 14:00 CEST, we face RCD Espanyol in Barcelona on matchday nine of LaLiga.
On Saturday, we play our second consecutive league fixture away from the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. Espanyol welcome us to their home ground as we look to make it another three points, following last weekend’s victory in Vitoria.
This week, we secured a win in our second match of this year’s UEFA Champions League, beating Manchester United 2-0 thanks to goals from Pablo Barrios and Ademola Lookman. Against Deportivo Alavés, we claimed a 2-1 away victory, with Grimaldo and Romero on the scoresheet.
We have now recorded four consecutive LaLiga victories and begin this new matchday sitting second in the table.
Meanwhile, Espanyol, once again managed by Manolo González, drew 1-1 against Málaga at La Rosaleda last time out, with Bryan Zaragoza scoring their goal. Their most recent home match came before the international break, when they lost 3-1 to Elche. They currently sit 12th in the table.
Our most recent meeting with the Catalan side took place last February at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. We beat Espanyol 4-2, thanks to a brace from Sørloth and goals from Giuliano and Lookman.
