Agreement with Tottenham for the transfer of Alderweireld
The Belgian international expressed his wish to go to the White Hart Lane team and both entities have completed his transfer.
Atlético de Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement for the transfer of Toby Alderweireld to the club from White Hart Lane. The Belgian defender expressed his wish to our club of playing with Tottenham this season and the two clubs have finalised the transfer of the fullback to the Premier League team.
Alderweireld came to Atlético de Madrid from Amsterdam's Ajax in the 2013-14 season and won the Spanish League in his first year as an Atlético. Last season he played in Southampton on loan.
