Agreement with Girona over the loan of Rodrigo Riquelme
The player from the Academy will continue his professional career by playing a season in the First Division.
Atlético de Madrid and Girona have reached an agreement for the loan of Riquelme, whose shirt will be worn by the Spanish player for the 22/23 season.
Riquelme, who has extended his contract with our club until 2028, joined the Academy in 2010 and after completing a remarkable journey through the Red & White youth ranks, he made his debut with the first team on 1 September 2019, in a match against Eibar. Last season he played on loan at Mirandés in the Second Division, scoring 7 goals in 36 games and providing 12 assists, which made him the top assist man in the category.
