Agreement with Al-Shabab for the transfer of Yannick Carrasco
The Belgian footballer is embarking on a new professional stage by joining the Saudi Arabian club.
Atlético de Madrid and Al-Shabab have formalised tonight the agreement for the transfer of Yannick Carrasco to the Arabian team.
The Belgian winger arrived at our club in the summer of 2015 from AS Monaco, and as a Red & White player he played a total of 266 official matches over eight seasons in which he scored 47 goals and distributed 35 assists. Yannick also won the 17/2018 UEFA Europa League and made a major contribution to the league title in the 20/21 campaign.
On 31 January 2020, Carrasco returned to our club and began his second spell as an Atlético de Madrid player, playing mostly as a left winger. In this position, he was fundamental in the achievement of our 11th league title, achieved in the 20/21 campaign, in which he scored particularly decisive goals, such as those against FC Barcelona and Real Sociedad at the Cívitas Metropolitano.
