PREVIEW | ATLETI-BETIS

A tough challenge against Betis

The Cívitas Metropolitano will host Betis this Sunday, 3 March, from 4:15pm CET.

This Sunday, 3 March, from 4:15pm CET, we will play at the Cívitas Metropolitano the 27th round of LaLiga against Betis. César Soto Grado will be the referee in charge of this match and will be assisted by Santiago Jaime Latre from the VAR.

Our team go into this league clash on the back of a 2-2 draw with Almería in their last LaLiga game. Correa and De Paul scored our goals at the Power Horse Stadium. In the last home game, Simeone's side took all three points against Las Palmas with a solid 5-0 win, with goals from Correa, Marcos Llorente (both doubles) and Memphis. We currently sit fourth on 52 points, five points behind third-placed FC Barcelona and three ahead of fifth-placed Athletic Club.

For their part, Betis picked up a win when Athletic Club visited Seville on Sunday. Real Betis are sixth in the table with 10 points less. Betis two top scorers this season are Willian José with 7 goals and Isco with 6, who will not be available for this clash.

In the last 9 meetings between the two teams, our team have not tasted defeat with 7 wins and 2 draws, having kept a clean sheet in the last two games. In the particular duel between the coaches, Simeone is the clear winner over Manuel Pellegrini: 11 duels between the two with a balance in favour of the Argentinian of 7 wins and 4 draws.

The match in the first leg ended 0-0. And the duel at the Cívitas Metropolitano last season, Correa gave us the victory in the final stretch of the match.
