A dream come true

The young Argentinian player has been presented at Majadahonda’s Sports City. The forward was accompanied by Enrique Cerezo, who had a few words for Atlético’s new player.

Ángel Correa wore the red and white shirt for the first time in his official presentation, which took place in Cerro del Espino. The young Argentinian striker was accompanied by the Chairman of the Club, Enrique Cerezo, and by the Sporting Director, José Luis Pérez Caminero.

Enrique Cerezo took the stage in first place to introduce the new red and white player. The Chairman said "Correa played for months the most important game of his life, and he won it. At age 20 he has shown signs of maturity and is an example of perseverance. All the Atléticos have a great affection for him and we must praise his behaviour. He never bowed his head or gave up, he faced life with an exemplary optimism and worked every minute of the day to return to the field to dazzle fans again with his undeniable talent and quality."

Following that, Ángel Correa took the floor. First of all, our new player answered the questions that our fans had left in social networks. The Argentinian said: "Since I was a boy I dreamt of playing for Atlético. I always liked it. A dream is coming true."

Afterwards, the young striker wanted to "thank the Chairman, Miguel Ángel Gil, all the coaching staff, my teammates and everyone in Atlético for supporting me in this difficult moment of my life. Luckily, I could move forward and now I’m here to have a great year."
