4-1 pre-season win over Getafe in training match
A brace from Lookman, along with goals from Arnau Ortiz and Obed Vargas, secured victory for our side.
This Wednesday, we played a pre-season training match against Getafe at the Majadahonda Training Ground, running out 4-1 winners. Ademola Lookman scored the opening two goals of the game in the 5th and 35th minutes. Although Gutiérrez pulled one back for the away side just before half time, Arnau Ortiz (55') and Obed Vargas (90', pen.) completed the scoring after the break.
After two and a half weeks of pre season, the match provided another valuable opportunity to continue our physical, technical and tactical preparations ahead of the start of the competitive campaign, while further reinforcing the concepts the squad has been working on since Diego Simeone's players returned to training on 13 July.
On Friday, the team will travel to Stockholm, Sweden, where we will face Manchester United on Saturday 1 August at 15:00 CET at the Strawberry Arena. We will then take on Manchester City on Sunday 9 August at 13:00 CEST at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea as part of the Coupang Play Series, before rounding off our pre-season schedule on Friday 14 August at 17:30 CET against Olympique de Marseille at the CEPAC Vélodrome.
The match in France will be our final pre-season test before kicking off our LaLiga campaign on Wednesday 19 August at 21:00 CEST against Málaga at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
