22/23 Champions League kicks off at the Cívitas Metropolitano
The European competition is back at our stadium as we take on FC Porto on Wednesday at 9pm CET.
A new Champions League campaign kicks off at the Cívitas Metropolitano as Atleti host FC Porto at 9pm CET on Wednesday.
Apart from the Portuguese side, Simeone’s men will face Bayer Leverkusen and Club Brugge in the group stage. Our team is excited about the European competition one more season and is looking forward to the game after our last LaLiga match at the Reale Arena last Saturday.
FC Porto are currently third in the Portuguese league with 12 points. Sérgio Conceição’s team pick up four wins and only one lose so far this season. In the previous edition of the Champions League, they were third on the group stage, where they were close to qualify for the knockout stage – but our team won at Do Dragao on the last group stage matchday (1-3).
