The excellent atmosphere of a packed Vicente Calderón with dedicated fans turned the Champions night into a magical one. Atlético came out very strong trying to score in Schmeichel’s goal and Koke was the first to make an intent with a shot from outside the area that hit the post in the 5th minute. A little later, it was Carrasco who tried it but in the third intent, in a counterattack from Griezmann, the penalty was awarded and the goal scored. Griezmann put the team ahead on the scoreboard, a goal that was felt by the English team until the interval.

In the second half, red and white control without clear chances to score. Leicester did not shoot on goal throughout the match. Everything will be decided in the second leg with the slightest of margins for us. Next Tuesday, the pass to the semi-finals will be decided in England.
