Fernando Torres presented on the evening of Wednesday, 18th May, at the VIP lounge of the Vicente Calderón stadium, an official biography which narrates his best moments panel by panel, written and drawn by Jorge Crespo Cano. The event was attended by CEO, Miguel Ángel Gil, the club’s chairman, Enrique Cerezo, the main figure of the book, Fernando Torres, and Vanessa López, of “Libros Cúpula” from Planeta publishing house.
Our forward spoke about the current news of the team before the important Champions League match against Real Madrid. "We are facing one of the great opportunities that life gives you. The growth of this club in recent years, playing two finals in the last three years is something almost unimaginable. I have ahead of me the most important game I will play in my life. And I only think about the 28th.”
"We have the opportunity to do something that has not been done so far in this club. All the Atléticos know that together we are stronger. We have been able to win the champions of the different leagues, and now we have a game that is more complicated and can decide the history of this club one way or the other," he said.
