RED AND WHITE SEATS

This is how the spectacular stands of the Wanda Metropolitano will look like

The name of the club and the year of its founding will be the stars in the east side. The seats are wider and more comfortable.

The image of the stands of the Wanda Metropolitano will be extraordinary. A mosaic of red and white seats will spell in the east side the name of the club. It will be the most prominent element in the composition.

In the lower part, and centred on the stands will be the year of our foundation, a new element with regard to the current image of the Vicente Calderón and one that reinforces the hundred-year-old character of the entity.

The image will be iconic and recognisable. The white colour of the roof and the red of the majority of the stands will create an aesthetic balance in tune with the club’s most characteristic colours. In the ends, the logo of Nike, our technical sponsor, will be placed.

The seat installation has begun

The seats of our new stadium have been made by EHEIM MÖBEL GmbH, a specialized company that has more than 174 years of experience and has worked in other iconic stadiums in the world of the football such as the Allianz Arena and Maracaná.

The seats have been created to offer the maximum comfort to the spectators thanks to their ergonomic design and their dimensions. The distance between the axis of two seats will be of 50cm. The club has preferred to offer more space for their fans instead of having a bigger capacity.

The seats will be wider (+9%), with a higher back (+15%) and a bigger seat depth (+18%) than those of our current stadium. Traffic will be easier thanks to the folding nature of the chosen model that occupies only 22 centimetres when not in use.

Thus, the space between rows will be wider: from 59 to 73 centimetres, depending on the stand, compared to the mere 33 centimetres which the spectators have in the Vicente Calderón since the seats cannot be folded.

The Wanda Metropolitano has been preparing for weeks for the installation of its first seats, a process that has begun in the upper stand. A specialised work team will be in charge of the process.
