The French connection beats Deportivo
Atlético de Madrid won three golden points thanks to a goal from the French connection: Griezmann scored to a pass by Gameiro. We have to regret the injuries suffered by Augusto and Giménez in the first half.

THE GOAL:
1-0. 70’. Griezmann slides into the net an assist from Gameiro inside the box.
Bad luck in the form of injuries for our team in a first half, that was matched and with few chances. The clearest was an effort from Griezmann that grazed the left post of Lux. The first injury was Augusto’s on 19 minutes and the second was for Giménez on 36’. Two players that left the pitch on stretchers. And on the last minute of the first half, Fayçal left his team with ten, which changed the match completely.
The second half was a total siege to the keeper of Deportivo. Carrasco began with two chances in which he forced Lux to pull out all the stops and shortly after it was Correa who headed to the net and made the keeper save his team. Gameiro entered a quarter of an hour into the second half to make sure that the goal arrived and after several tries came a play from the 'double G' with a goal from Griezmann to a pass from Gameiro. A goal that broke the hopes of a Deportivo closed up on its field. Three golden points that take our team to the third place of LaLiga. Now, we think about Wednesday’s Champions League game against Bayern at the Calderón.
