Simeone: "I’m very happy with the work of the team"
Our coach addressed the media in the pressroom of the BayArena to analyse the first leg match of the League of Champions last 16.
Diego Pablo Simeone analysed the first leg match of the round of 16 against Bayer Leverkusen. "It has been an exciting game, thrilling for the people who watched it on TV. We take with us a good result," he noted.
The Argentinian assured that the result is fair. "They got on top because they saw an unexpected goal and its normal. The result is fair, it could have been larger if we had been more precise but their keeper is very good despite the result and how the scoreboard ended," he said.
Our manager spoke about the Frenchman’s substitution in the second half. "Gameiro was playing one of the best matches since he came to the club, Griezmann was along his line but my intention was to bring fresh people in, to take advantage of the gaps, people who could run. I am very happy with the work of the team, that continues to grow," he declared.
