Atlético de Madrid wanted to see off 2016 in the League with a victory against one of the teams that plays better football in the First Division - Las Palmas. And the truth is that in the first half, the team began well, with Saúl's acrobatic finish that crashed in the post. The yellow players did not want to be left behind and Lemos crashed a long distance shot on the crossbar.

In the second half, the team from the Canaries tried to get close to the red and white goal but Moyá saved two dangerous efforts from El Zhar and Roque Mesa. This last chance to score was key because our goalkeeper’s save was followed by Saúl's great goal with shot from out of the box. A goal that gives us the win to close the year in the League.
