Proud of the team

Great work done by Atlético de Madrid that won 2-1 thanks to the goals by Saúl and Griezmann, the latter after converting a penalty kick. Isco, before the half-time, scored for the rival team.

Atlético de Madrid began the match strong and intensely and had a 2-goal advantage early on that raised the decibels of a packed and passionate Vicente Calderón, playing the dreamed fixture. Our third goal before the break didn’t come, but Isco scored in the final stretch of the first half.

In the second half, Atlético threw themselves into trying to get further ahead and Navas saved their team first clearing a shot by Carrasco and later Gameiro's header in the 67th minute. And, just a bit later, saved another drive by Griezmann. It could not be, despite our attempts. The supporters, who were spectacular, experienced the second half like they did the whole game, singing and thanking the team’s effort. Atlético ended the Champions with a win that didn’t book us a spot in the finals, but showed what we’re made of.
