Oblak, goalkeeper of the UEFA Champions League contender
UEFA will announce the winner on the 24th of August. Oblak is a contender for goalkeeper of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League season.
Atlético de Madrid's goalkeeper Jan Oblak has been nominated for goalkeeper of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League season. It will be the first time that the winner will be announced in the Group Stage Draw that will take place on Thursday, the 24th of August.
Oblak's rivals are Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus) and Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich). In the defender and striker categories, Diego Godín and Antoine Griezmann were shortlisted, although they did get into the final lists.
