Juanfran renews his contract one more season
Our right-back has renewed his contract with our club one more season and begins his ninth season.
Atlético de Madrid are delighted to announce Juanfran Torres has renewed his contract with our club until 30 June, 2019. The player of Alicante, who joined our club in January 2011, has won through hard work the love and respect of our fans, what has led him to be one of the most beloved players for our fans.

In more than 7 years in the club, Juanfran has become an important player and has participated in 325 matches. He is two matches away from becoming one of the 20 players that have played more matches in club history. With a lot of work, Juanfran has become one of the most used players by Simeone in all the successes achieved by our team. He is one of the players of the current squad that has the best track record in the club: one LaLiga, two Europa League, one Spanish Super Cup, one Copa del Rey and one Spanish Super Cup.
Due to his great work as a fullback, Juanfran received the call of the Spanish National Team for the UEFA Euro 2012. Our player, whose debut was in one of the preparatory matches for the championship, was part of the team that was proclaimed for the third time, second consecutive, European Champion. In total, he’s defended Spanish colours 22 times and has played in the UEFA Euro 2012, UEFA Euro 2016 and 2014 FIFA World Cup.
