Historic qualification of FK Qarabag
Qarabag qualified after eliminating Samtredia, Sheriff and Copenhagen in the qualifying rounds before the group stage of the continent's top club competition.
FK Qarabag, a team founded in 1951, has made history after qualifying for the first time to play the League of Champions group stage. In addition, the team managed by Gurban Gurbanov has become the first club from Azerbaijan to play in the group stage of the continental showpiece.
