Atlético de Madrid was conscious of how important it was to win and warned their rival soon with Gameiro's chipped ball that hit the crossbar before the first fifteen minutes. And in the final stretch, Griezmann crossed to the far post and Godín headed it into the net without Sergio Rico being able to do anything at all.
After the interval, Atlético tried hard to score the second goal and Carrasco, twice, found the hands of Sergio Rico, while Griezmann saw how a great collective play finished with shot of our '7' that was just wide of the post. Moments later, Griezmann scored from a masterful direct free-kick. Koke then scored the 3-0 in a great collective play. In the final stretch, Sevilla’s Correa scored and Atlético had another two chance to increase the advantage, but the shots by Torres and Koke were saved by Sergio Rico.
