Gameiro: “We worked hard and won the match"
Our goalscorer analyzed our win in the Basque Country.
Kevin Gameiro scored the only goal in our 0-1 win in Ipurua against Eibar.
“We played well,” he said. “We knew that it was going to be difficult to win here, but we did what we had to do and we won.”
With this win, Atlético are now six points below league leaders FC Barcelona, pending what the Catalans do against Real Sociedad.
“We’re second and we keep on winning points,” he said. “We worked hard and won the match.”
Antoine Griezmann assisted Gameiro and the French connection is blooming: 9 of Gameiro’s 22 goals for Atleti have come from a Griezmann assist.
