Diego Costa is now an Atlético
The international forward was happy with after his return home was finalised. He will wear the squad number 18 on his red and white shirt.
Diego Costa is now an Atlético player. Atlético de Madrid and Chelsea agreed on the conditions for the transfer of the forward to our club. The international forward signed his new contract after successfully passing the medical tests that he underwent in two phases: last Saturday and Monday. Starting tomorrow, he will join the team’s trainings, but he will not be registered until the next winter market opens on January 1st.
The striker was happy with by the definitive decision on the agreement and his return to our club: "I’m very happy to return home, I’ve always said it, Atlético is my home, I’m very, very happy." In addition, he is already thinking of getting back to work: "I’m looking forward to start contributing. I’m going to give my all for the team, as I always try to do."
And he thanked again "the effort that Miguel Ángel Gil has made especially, and the whole club for making this move forward, I’m very grateful to everyone.”
Diego Costa will wear the squad number 18 in this new stage as a red and white player, in which he will try to repeat the successes of his previous time with Atlético.
