THE GOAL:
0-1. 62’. Carrasco volleys in the box a cross from Juanfran that Torres touched.
Total control of our team since the opening whistle of Daniele Orsato to begin the match. Rostov didn’t mind not having the ball, and the first half was a red and white monologue, with several chances to score. Specifically, three from Correa, two from Carrasco and one from Torres. In some, the keeper Dzhanaev managed to make a save, and in others the finishes went wide narrowly.
Our team’s insistence was rewarded half an hour before the end. A cross from Juanfran was pushed into the net by Carrasco to continue a spectacular week that started with the hat trick against Granada. The match was where Atlético wanted it and they only needed to score a second goal to close the game. When Rostov pressed to score, they met a wall. Three golden points for the third consecutive win in the Group Stage and finish with Rostov’s streak of 26 games unbeaten in their stadium in all competitions.
