Atlético de Madrid booked a spot in the quarter-finals after eliminating Las Palmas. The advantage of the first leg (0-2) marked this second leg. After a first half with few chances to score, the scoreboard changed soon. Correa warned right after entering but it was Griezmann who scored on 49 minutes. The third consecutive goal in three matches in 2017 by the French striker.

Las Palmas tried to score in Moyá’s goal and Livaja shortened distances a little later, but Correa, with an excellent play, was in charge of putting our team ahead with a great goal. There was time to see Fernando Torres in action during the last half hour and also the debut of Keidi, an Albanian mid-fielder who plays in Atlético B. However, Las Palmas had time to give the turn the match around in the final stretch of the match, although it was Atlético the one to advance to the quarter-finals.
