Atlético de Madrid beat Guijuelo thanks to a first half that was intense and had good football. In only 12 minutes, from the 17th to the 29th, our team decided this match with the goals by Nico Gaitán, Correa and Juanfran. A few minutes later, Raúl was sent off for double yellow, leaving Guijuelo with ten men. Afterwards, in the last minute of the first half, Fernando Torres took advantage of a ball in the box to beat Morales.
The match was decided and in the second half we had the chance to see Cerci in action, who made some good plays on the pitch. Guijuelo scored in an intent with an accurate header from Pino to the delight of the fans from Salamanca who had come to the Calderon. Now, we have to think about Friday’s draw for the knockout round that will be played in the first fortnight of January.
