Atlético de Madrid took the field of the English stadium with very clear ideas. The objective was to control the game and try to score to eliminate the British team. And it was Saúl who warned Schmeichel 15 minutes in with a play that just went wide. But the red and whites scored on 26 minutes, with a cross from Filipe Luis that Saúl headed into the far post. A real wonder goal.

In the second half, Leicester’s goal made the English team believe they could come back. Nevertheless, Atlético bore well the attacks of the rival to finally have a good outcome that booked a spot in the semi-finals. Correa could have scored in the final stretch, but the final tie qualified our team in the Champions semi-finals for third time in the last four seasons.
