THE BRAZILIAN FORWARD WILL WEAR WHITE AND BLUE NEXT SEASON

Agreement with Espanyol for the transfer of Leo Baptistão

The striker came to our club in the summer of 2013 and played 11 games as an Atlético, before being loaned to Betis, Rayo Vallecano, and Villarreal.

The Brazilian striker came to our club in the summer of 2013, coming from Rayo Vallecano. During the first half of the 2013-14 season, he was a member of the red and white squad that would end up winning La Liga, playing five games in League competition. In addition, he also played two matches of the Super Cup, one of the King’s Cup, and three of the UEFA Champions League, where he scored a goal against Zenit.

In the winter market of that 2013-14 campaign, Atlético de Madrid and Real Betis reached a agreement for the loan of the Brazilian to the green and white team, where Baptistão played until the end of the season. Subsequently, the forward was loaned back to Rayo Vallecano and Villarreal; clubs in which he finished the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons, respectively.

From Atlético de Madrid we appreciate his effort during the time he has defended our colours and wish him the best of luck in this new phase in Espanyol.
