Bayern and Atlético offered a vibrant first half, with alternating control with two chances per side. The first one to threaten with an intent was our team, with two good intents and shots from Carrasco that were saved by Neuer. Then it was when the Germans attacked, and Oblak cleared Douglas Costa's shot, although he couldn’t save Lewandowski's direct free kick.
In the second half, Bayern started by taking the lead until Simeone decided to make three almost consecutive substitutions, with Correa and Gameiro creating more danger for the Germans and Thomas providing freshness to the midfield. Nevertheless, the German team closed ranks and there was no way to tie the match. First defeat in Champions in a game in which everything was decided, in which our team leads the group and the first leg match of the last 16 will be played away and the second leg at the Calderón.
