MATCH IN JEDDAH

We play the last game of the year with a friendly against Al-Ittihad

We play the last match of the year against Saudi Arabia’s oldest team. There is great expectation and there will be a full house at the King Adbullah stadium (62,000 spectators) for the game.

Our team will play today the last match of the year against Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad. It will be a friendly just after returning from the Christmas holidays and before returning to the competition in the King’s Cup game against UD Las Palmas.

The match will be played in the city of Jeddah in the modern King Abdullah stadium, with capacity for 62,000 persons. There will be a great atmosphere since the tickets have sold out and there will be a full house.

Founded in 1927, Al-Ittihad is Saudi Arabia’s oldest club, being one of the most followed clubs in the whole country. It has won the local league eight times, the last one in 2009. Managed by the Chilean José Luis Sierra, Al-Ittihad will face this friendly after having qualified for the final of the Prince of Arabia’s Cup.

Our team travels after having returned from the holidays and Simeone can now count on Filipe's after his medical release. Our manager travelled with 20 players to Saudi Arabia, among whom are the players from the ranks Rubén Fernandez and Juan Moreno.
