Tiago: “It will be difficult, but we’re excited to get to the final”
The Portuguese player appeared before the media in a press conference. Tiago spoke of the Champions League semi-final qualifying round, without forgetting Getafe, the League’s next opponent.
Tiago started his appearance before the media by talking about Chelsea, the next Champions League opposing team. “There were no preferences, they’re the favourite. An enormous team with an enormous coach. A team that’s become used to playing finals and winning titles, they have a lot of experience. As such, it will be very difficult, but we’re excited to get to the final”.
After learning who will be the next rival in the maximum European competition, Tiago is already thinking about the next League fixture. “My head is in Getafe. We have a very difficult match on Sunday. We know what we have to do to be a strong team and we can’t change anything”. Furthermore, Tiago added, “We’re at a moment where we can’t look at the team on the other side. We’re enthusiastic, we want to recover well and be prepared and ready to get to Getafe and only think of winning”.
Lastly, the Portuguese player remembered the Champions quarterfinal second leg match against F.C. Barcelona, from which he highlighted “we played a great match, the one we all expected to play. Get in strong, be able to score our goal, and some more if possible. That’s what happened in the end. We’ve transformed and it seemed we were the big team, and we achieved to eliminate Barcelona and win the qualifying round”.
