The Wanda Metropolitano held a moment of silence for 'Pandero' Díaz

Our legendary left back made his debut for Atlético in 1973 and stayed in the club until 1977.

Before kick-off in the Wanda Metropolitano against Sevilla FC, Atlético de Madrid held a moment of silence for club legend Rubén Osvaldo ‘Panadero’ Díaz.

‘Panadero’ Díaz defended our club’s jersey in 88 matches throughout four seasons.

Our legendary left back made his debut for Atlético in 1973 and stayed in the club until 1977. For the club, Panadero Díaz won one Intercontinental Cup, one Copa del Rey (Copa del Generalísimo) and one league title.
