NATIONAL SPORTS AWARDS TROPHY FOR HIS OUTSTANDING CAREER

The King presents Simeone with the Ibero-American Community Trophy

The Argentinian coach received at the Palace of El Prado the award for 2013's most outstanding Ibero-American sportsman.

Diego Pablo Simeone received this Thursday the Ibero-American Community Trophy, distinction of the 2013 National Sports Awards. The Argentinian coach received the trophy from King Felipe, with the presence of Queen Leticia, during the ceremony held at the Palace of El Prado in Madrid.

The excellent work of Simeone during 2013 at the helm of the red and white ship earned him the 2013's most outstanding Ibero-American sportsman award. Atlético's coach was accompanied by our Chairman Enrique Cerezo, and the captains: Gabi, Raúl García and Godín.

The ceremony was also attended by Queen Sofía, Infant Elena, José Ignacio Wert, Minister of Education, Culture and Sports; and Miguel Cardenal, President of the Sports Council.
