The Appeal Committee of the Spanish Royal Federation of Football ruled to reduce the suspension imposed on Filipe Luis from three to one game after he was sent-off during the 22nd round match against FC Barcelona. The members of the Committee accepted the appeal presented by our club last Wednesday, which considered the number of games imposed by the Competition Committee to the Brazilian winger was out of proportion.

The decision of the Committee follows article 123.1 of the Disciplinary Code of the Spanish Federation, which states "The only explanatory argument to apply the suspension to its maximum extent is ‘due to the special seriousness of the action’, without minimally explaining where the seriousness of it lies, since it does not seem to be detailed in the referee’s minutes, being this a necessary and indispensable requirement in this Committee's opinion."
