Simeone: "You always want to win"
Atlético’s coach was happy with the work done by the team in the three weeks of training.
Diego Pablo Simeone appeared at a press conference prior to the match against Tottenham in the International Champions Cup. The Argentinian coach analysed Friday’s game: “Tottenham has been a few days here in Australia and has already played a match. We will try to work as best as possible. We have come with players who are well prepared and have worked very well these days. We are always hopeful to keep improving. It’s clear that you always want to win."
Simeone also had a few words for Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham’s coach: "We know each other from a long time ago and we have competed as coaches in Spain. His present is fabulous. Last season he managed to show his team’s game essence. I hope he can keep improving."
