Simeone: "We played an extraordinary first half"
The Argentinian coach highlighted the image of Atlético‘s team during the first 45 minutes.
Diego Pablo Simeone appeared at the press conference after our team's defeat against FC Barcelona in the second leg of the King's Cup quarter-finals (2-3).
The Argentinian, despite the result, was pleased with the team's performance: "I'm proud of my players. We played an extraordinary first half, with enthusiasm and playing an intense match."
Atlético’s coach analysed the overall performance in the tournament: "We played a decent Cup. We eliminated L'Hospitalet and Real Madrid. It has been very important because it gave us the opportunity to play against Barcelona."
Lastly, the Argentinian recognised the importance of "becoming League Champions on Barcelona's turf" last season, because "it was very complicated," given the skill of the opponent.
