Diego Pablo Simeone spoke prior to the Champions League match against Malmö, a match that looks difficult to him due to the quality of the rival. "We need to play an intelligent match, take the ball where we are strongest and stay alert. We only have to think of winning because they have a lot of young players and they’are a dangerous team. Surely, they’ll fight until the end to classify." he said.

We only have to think of winning Malmö FF

As for the absences, our coach admitted that the team always work thinking in the same philosophy. "We try to train depending on the players we have so the team is strong from the structure," as well as confirming the starting goalkeeper. "Moyá will play," he said, without disclosing the rest of the starters. "Tomorrow we’ll decide on the team. All the concentrated players have an opportunity. We always try to find the way in which we can most hurt the opponent and we’ll look for players who can allow us to take the match where we want." he said.

Lastly, Simeone stressed the difficulty of the match. "Those who have not seen Malmö play can think they are an easy team, but for me, they have nothing to envy in terms of competitiveness to the rest of the teams in the group, including us" and insisted in the importance of playing at the Calderón. "This year, it hasn’t gone badly when we’ve played away from home. All teams tend to play stronger at home and our Stadium possibly helps in that situation," he concluded.
