“The victory is very important. We needed it and we’re especially happy with Gameiro’s goal,” Simeone said. “Today, he scored a goal and his off-the-ball movements are getting better each day.”
About the match, our coach repeated how important getting the win was.
“It’s important that the team showed they know how to suffer, that they don’t care if they have to drop back and defend to secure the result,” he said. “We played against a team that’s very strong at home. A team that had scored in all of their matches. We’re going back [to Madrid] with a great win.”
