Simeone: “The second half was amongst the best we’ve played”
Our coach, Koke and Correa reacted to Sunday’s win against Villarreal.
Simeone spoke after our team’s 3-1 win against Villarreal on Sunday.
“We’ve had up and downs this season. We’ve been playing better ever since our win against Granada. We arrived at tonight’s game in the best possible way, and the second half was amongst the best we’ve played,” the Argentine said.
Koke praised the team’s performance this week.
“We’re happy. It was a tough week with very demanding games. This is the way forward,” our captain said.
Correa also shared his thoughts on the game.
“It was very important for us to earn the three points, so we’re very happy about the win. We always want to fight for the league,” the Argentine said.
