Diego Pablo Simeone addressed the media in the Olimp-2 press room in the pre-match of the third match of the UEFA Champions League group stage. The Argentinian manager analysed the Russian squad: "We have watched several of Rostov’s matches. It is a dangerous team because they have a clear idea of the game. They know how to drop back when they lose the ball and feel comfortable at the back."

In addition, Simeone said: "What was done in the past are nice memories, but football requires you to be in the present and we will be judged by this Wednesday’s match."

Regarding the great level of the team, he said: "If I went by the shape the players are in, I would have to call 15 players for every match. I don’t have commitments with anybody. The only thing that matters to me is winning. This Wednesday, Torres will be a starter.
