Simeone: "Hopefully we can play a good match against L'Hospitalet"
Atlético’s coach highlighted that he hopes the less regular players can show all their football skills in the match-up against the Catalonian team.
Diego Pablo Simeone appeared at the press conference prior to the King's Cup round of 32 second leg match. In front of the media, he noted that they will try to compete with the same intensity as always, regardless of the outcome of the first leg. "It’s clear that tomorrow is an opportunity for the less regular players to showcase what each of them have. To begin with, Koke and Mandžukić will be starters. On that same topic, he continued to say that the duel against the Catalonian squad is a great chance for the less regular players to demonstrate what they can bring to the team. "I care about how the guys who are having fewer minutes play and that they take advantage of the opportunity to play and have active minutes", he argued.
In addition, Simeone stressed that the goal is to play a great match in order to continue the growth the team is going through. "There is always the possibility before an important game to have continuity within the team. They know it, hopefully tomorrow we can play a good game and follow the path that we are on", he said.
