Simeone, Griezmann, our club nominated for the Globe Soccer Awards 2018
Our coach, player and club have been nominated in three of the categories in the 10th edition of the Globe Soccer Awards that will be held on Jan.3 2019.
Our club has been nominated in three categories of the 10th edition of the Globe Soccer Awards, which recognise the best of the football year. Our coach Diego Pablo Simeone has been chosen among the candidates for the Best Coach of the Year award. He will have to compete for the trophy with Massimiliano Allegri, Didier Deschamps, Jürgen Klopp and Zinedine Zidane.
Antoine Griezmann has been chosen among the three players who will fight for the Best Player of the Year award. He is nominated along with Cristiano Ronaldo and his French teammate Mbappé. For its part, the club has also been proposed as one of the three candidates for the Best Club of the Year along with Liverpool and Real Madrid.
In 2018, Atlético de Madrid has won two titles (Europa League and UEFA Super Cup) with Diego Pablo Simeone at the head of a great teamwork by the entire team and technical staff. In addition, Griezmann achieved the landmark of being crowned 2018 FIFA World Cup Champion with the French team, being named Best Player of the Final of the tournament that France won against Croatia by 4-2 and scoring a goal in it.
