Simeone calls everyone available to travel to Athens
The absence of Cristian Rodríguez due to an injury is the only one on the list provided for the Champions League debut.
The first team exercised for about an hour after the victory at the Santiago Bernabéu, to start preparing for the UEFA Champions League debut next Tuesday at 20:45.
Simeone has decided to call 20 players, every available player in Atlético’s first team, for our team’s debut in Europe's club showpiece. A debut where we’ll travel to Athens to face Olympiacos this Tuesday at 20:45.
Cristian Rodríguez, injured in his left calf, is our team’s only absence. The rest of the players have been called to travel to the Greek capital early tomorrow. Once in Greece, Diego Pablo Simeone will appear in the official press conference prior to the match at 19:30 local time (18:30 CET). After that, at 19:00 CET, the team will train on the field of the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.
