Simeone: "Benfica is a team with interesting features"

Diego Pablo Simeone answered the media in the preview of the last match of the first stage of the Champions League. Atlético’s coach began analysing Tuesday’s rival: "Reality is what happens on the field. We think that Benfica played a great match at the Calderón and took advantage of their chances. It’s a team that has interesting features, so we have to play a big match." 

Regarding the possibility of finishing first in the group, our coach said that "being first is very good, but that doesn’t guarantee us absolutely anything. It’s clear that we always look at the match by match and will therefore look for the best options against Benfica."
