Sergio Agüero rejoins the group work during Wednesday’s session

Koke and Mario Suárez do alternative work

Sergio Agüero was the big novelty in Wednesday’s training at the Majadahonda Sports Cmplex in a session that lasted two hours and which was marked by the intense downpour under which the ‘rojiblanco’ players practiced. Agüero had been absent on Monday after having a wisdom tooth pulled and then did alternative work alone on Tuesday, and rejoined the group on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Koke and Mario Suárez did alternative work and did not work out with the squad. They did some lifting in the gym and then Koke later took the pitch with Óscar Pitillas, the team physical trainer.

On this occasion, seven Atlético de Madrid B players trained with the first team: Iago, Regalón, Vítor, Noguera, Míchel, Fer and Roberto. Iago did specific position work with De Gea and Emilio Álvarez, the goalkeeping coach.

The ‘rojiblanco’ players began with a warm-up and then moved into 4v2 keepaway. Afterward, they played a small-sided game and continued with crossing drills and finishing. The session wrapped up with some physical circuits and a scrimmage on the half-pitch. On one team, in bibs, were: Iago; Regalón, Pulido, Míchel, Antonio López; Reyes, Assunçao, Tiago, Noguera; Borja and Kun Agüero. Without bibs were: De Gea; Valera, Ujfalusi, Domínguez, Filipe Luis; Juanfran, Raúl García, Fer, Perea; Vítor and Diego Costa.
