Rostov played a complicated away match against Spartak in Moscow and was defeated by the slightest of margins. It ended with nine players thanks to Kudryashov and César Navas being sent off.

Rostov could not benefit from its visit to Spartak of Moscow, leader of the Russian League. Our rival saw its potential hindered with Kudryashov's being sent off in the last minute of the first half. Soon after the second half began, on 53 minutes, Glushakov scored the goal that would be decisive. Rostov tried its best but it started to lose steam when César Navas was shown his second yellow card in the 74th minute.
