Reyes: 'The Europa League is a great competition and we have to go all the way'

'Celtic is a tough opponent but our goal is to start winning'

José Antonio Reyes appeared before the media prior to the match against Celtic in the press room of the Vicente Calderon. The Atletico player said that 'we have not scored in the last two games but we’re not worried. Now we have another important game we have to score a goal and winning is the only thing on our minds.'   Atletico Madrid were the champion of this competition in 2010 'The goal is to start winning. We know what it is to be champion and also fall in the first round. When you win competitions everything is good and when you fall it's all sadness. We have the opportunity to be there and we have to win and that’s that. Nothing more,' said Reyes.   As to whether Reyes is under pressure to be one of the stars of the team, he said that 'not at all. No one is a star. No one is more or less than anyone. We all know what we must do and the importance of this team.'   About what it means to play the Europa League, Reyes, who won the competition in 2010, commented that 'it means a lot because this competition has given me many joys. When you win everything is wonderful. And when you run out on to the field you know that it will be watched in many countries around the world. It's a great competition in which we must go all the way.'   As to whether Celtic is the perfect opponent for Atleti, as it is not a very strong team away from home, the '10' of Atletico said that 'we do not worry about the opponent. Our goal is to win because it is the first game regardless of the opposing team.'   Finally, Reyes said, 'We've seen videos of Celtic, we’re getting to know a little more. Celtic will be a tough opponent to beat. But we hope to defeat them with our firepower and our team'.
